'Behemoth!' In 2017, Pedro Pascal's cherubic curls stole the spotlight

Pedro Pascal’s greatest costar might be that charming head of hair. as Oberyn Martell game of ThronesIt was short and cropped and messy. as javier pena NarcosIt was swoon-worthy and very ’70s. as Maxwell Lord wonder woman 1984It was fair and… yes, fair. But we may have just reached peak Tony Gilroy’s Pedro Pascal hair Demon!

In the upcoming film, Pascal plays Alex, an eccentric cellist who returns to LA and the world of Hollywood film scoring after decades of pursuing symphonic works. The story spans about 25 years of his life, which means a lot of Pedro Pascal (lucky for us), a lot of cellos, and, judging from the first look images, some really distinctive hair.

It’s brown, curly, pushed back and away from her face, but not so sleek that it takes all the fun out of it. There’s a proper wave going on the top, lots of texture around the sides, and then, just when you think you’ve got it figured out, a little mullet action starts in the back. In one shot, a tuft of hair falls on his forehead. Just one. The rest remains exactly in its place. Did a hair stylist put it there? Perhaps. Does this make it less powerful? Oh, not at all. And the salt-and-pepper thing is still very much going on, with a light hit of brownness making it even more delicious.

Pascal is one of those people in Hollywood who has naturally amazing hair. But that doesn’t mean you can’t try yourself. If you already have a bit of wave or curl, ask your barber to keep enough length on the top and back, as well as enough weight around the edges so it doesn’t look too neat. A curl cream or light mousse will help bring out the texture, and then you’ll want to push it back while it’s still wet and leave it alone. Seriously—the more you mess with the curls, the angrier they get.

And if your hair is naturally straight? Well, parm isn’t off the table (unless it’s “broccoli parm”). Modern versions may be softer and looser than the crunchy spirals you picture. Ask for a loose, natural-looking curl and yes, take a photo of Pascal with you. Your barber will understand.

Pedro Pascal spent several months learning the cello Demon! And, in A recent interview with Vanity FairCalled it “the hardest, hardest, hardest thing (he) had to learn to do” for a role. Very impressive. Very dedicated. But, with respect, look at the hair.
