- Audi sold 38,000 vehicles in the second quarter of 2026.
- Sales in the first half of 2026 are down 17 percent.
- EV sales have declined the most, but sales of new gas models have mostly increased.
Audi reported its 2026 second quarter deliveries in the United States, with 38,030 vehicles delivered during the second three months of the year. This number is 3.0 percent less than the 39,241 vehicles delivered in the second quarter of 2025. Audi has delivered 67,916 new cars so far in 2026, down 17.0 percent from the first half of 2025 when it sold 81,951 units.
While overall sales declined in both the second quarter and first half of the year, there are some bright spots in the Audi lineup. All of the following vehicles saw growth in Q2:
- A3: Up to 9%
- A5: Up to 9%
- A6: up to 32%
- Q5: Up to 30%
- Q8: Up to 47%
Three of those vehicles—including the A5, A6, and Q5—were recently redesigned, which is positive news for Audi. This shows that customers are responding positively to the company’s new models and sales are going in the right direction.

While most of Audi’s new products are selling quite well, not all of them are off to a positive start to 2026. Pricing for the newly refreshed Audi Q3 is down 8.0 percent in the second quarter and 14.0 percent so far this year. Q6 e-tron sales were very poor, with sales falling 83.0 percent in the second quarter and 87.0 percent in the first half, likely due to declining EV demand combined with tariffs.

This is a massive fall from grace for the Q6, which was actually the best-selling Audi model in Q3 2025 before the $7,500 federal tax credit for EVs expired. Audi’s entire EV lineup has been badly affected with sales of only 1,730 units so far in 2026. At this point in 2025, Audi has sold 11,559 EVs, meaning sales have declined by 85.0 percent.
Motor1’s Opinion: Audi has let its lineup get stale in the US, and it’s going to need some new products to overcome that. It seemed like models like the Q6 were headed for early success, but they had a bad time with an administration that wasn’t EV friendly. Audi will have to rely on the updated Q7 and the all-new Q9 to bring in customers who have been waiting for a larger SUV from the brand.
