Air Venturi Alpha | guncon 2026

Last week, I attended GunCon. Among all the events in the industry, this is the best one for me. I have a close relationship with TGC’s John Patton and Cody Hinton, who host and organize the event, but this is an objective opinion: If you’re a firearms enthusiast, you really should be there. People travel far and wide to attend. Whether you’re there to see your favorite brand, discover a new one, attend a panel, or meet your favorite Gunfluencers, GunCon is the right place for you. It has also become a hub for new and interesting products, whether from established brands or new startups. There is always something interesting to see there. What caught my attention is new air venturi alpha pcp.

economical performance

The Air Venturi Alpha PCP Air Rifle is designed to deliver premium airgun performance at a more accessible price point, offering a blend of power, accuracy and versatility that makes it equally at home on the range or in the field.

Available in both standard and compact configurations and chambered in .22, the Alpha offers velocities up to 1025 fps and 36 FPE in the standard model, while the compact variant reaches 900 fps and 26 FPE. Whether the goal is target shooting, pest control, or small game hunting, the Alpha is built to handle the task.

Shot capacity varies across the lineup, ranging from 20 shots on the compact tube version and 35 on the standard tube models, to 60 shots on the standard aluminum bottle versions. For shooters who prioritize portability, the compact carbon bottle model stands out for delivering 55 shots per fill and weighing only 4.75 pounds. If it were me, I’d configure it with a compact carbon bottle.

designed for the field

A regulator helps maintain consistent performance from shot to shot, while a covered barrel with an integrated moderator keeps report levels surprisingly low for an air rifle producing so much power. The two-stage adjustable trigger provides a clean, crisp break that gives repeatable accuracy. A folding stock makes the rifle easy to carry through the woods or through a stove in a pack.

The Alpha is also ready for customization, including Picatinny/Weaver optics rails for the scope, dual Picatinny accessory rails for lights and lasers, and an M-LOK forend rail on tube models. The result is a highly adaptable PCP air rifle that offers practical performance and thoughtful features without demanding a premium price tag.

zoom out

To me, this is the ultimate backyard plinker. Good PCPs have never been more attainable. The Air Venturi Alpha, at a starting price of $269.99 (for the compact tube), is the way to go. And if you’re worried about filling the tank, check out the new air venturi nomad nano 4500 Portable Compressor. Its weight is only 15 pounds. And cost $400.
