You have to deliver 100 pizzas in one night. What Car Are You Driving?

As things continue to become increasingly expensive, more and more of us are looking for other programs just to make ends meet – especially food delivery jobs. Even with my cushy job as a coastal media elite, I’ve considered this, but since I’m also a car sicko, I’ve considered deeply what I would use for this task, and now I’m opening it up to you, which leads me to today’s question and scenario.

You have 100 pizzas for delivery in one night. Which car are you delivering in, money is no object? What is the best car in the world for delivering a lot of pizzas in a short amount of time on any budget? Yes, I know there are some logical mistakes when it comes to delivering pizza in an expensive vehicle, but for the sake of argument, we’ll put that aside. If this is something that really bothers you, feel free to write your local congressman and tell him what an idiot I am. The rest of us will enjoy daydreaming about a perfectly made-up scenario.

my choice

I’ve thought long and hard about my choice for my fabricated scenario, and to me, it’s perfect: It’s the Mercedes-Benz G580, baby. Yes, I know the price of the electric G-Wagen starts at $164,550 including destination, but again, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that it is the perfect delivery vehicle.

The G-Class EV is large and comfortable, but not too big, so it will be easy to park. The massaging seats would ensure that my tired back would never break under the pressure of handling dozens of pies. Its cargo floor is also completely flat, so it will Zero Cheese Slippery. Any real pizza connoisseur will know that changing cheese is a death sentence to a good pizza.

It’s quite fast, with 579 horsepower and 859 pound-feet of torque produced by its four electric motors – enough to propel it to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. When you have 30 minutes or less to get your ‘za there, every second counts. Obviously, you can go with the Mercedes-AMG G63 for an even faster ride, but you’ll burn through your profits with terrible gas mileage, and the sound of that twin-turbo V8 can get old after a while. If you think about it, EVs were designed for the stop-and-go nature of pizza delivery.

Anyway, this is my ideal choice for delivering 100 pizzas in a single night. Why don’t you go down and tell your fellow jalops what’s yours?
