Anticipation continues for Prime Video’s upcoming series, “The Greatest,” which chronicles the extraordinary life of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.

The eight-episode drama will premiere on November 4 and stars Oscar-winning actor Michael B. Jordan, while Ben Watkins will serve as producer.

“The Greatest Boxing is an intimate exploration of the incomparable life of a champion, humanitarian and global icon,” The official logline read. “The Greatest, produced by Loni Ali, the late legend’s widow, is the first authorized scripted series about the life of Muhammad Ali, providing unprecedented access and going beyond the amazing wins and losses that made Ali a legend both in and out of the ring.”

This weekend, fans got their first look at the series when the first trailer was released, featuring Jalen Best as Cassius Clay. The cast also includes Giovanni Ribisi, Omari Hardwick, Dana Gourier, Kai Parham and Amin Joseph.

Another said, “Few legacies are more worthy of a movie. The story of Muhammad Ali is one of them.”

A third fan commented, “Given how well (Jordan) handled the Creed movies, I think this could make for a fresh, respectful, and powerful take on Ali’s life in and out of the ring.”

Another fan wrote, “Michael B. Jordan producing this? This is amazing.”

Several documentaries and films have explored Ali’s life and career as one of the most influential athletes of all time. However, Watkins said that “The Greatest” aims to tell parts of Ali’s story that audiences have not seen before.

“It’s a show that’s designed to show you all the stuff that wasn’t in the documentaries and isn’t available in terms of watching old fights and old interviews,” Watkins said. “We filmed Season 1, which starts in 1960 when he wins the gold medal and ends in 1964 when he wins the heavyweight title for the first time. In between, there’s a coming-of-age story, and a very intimate coming-of-age story that really shows a different side of Ali, who was Cassius Clay at the time.”
