For starters, today marks the 62nd anniversary of Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones releasing their cover of “It’s All Over Now.” That song became his first No. 1 hit, peaking at uk singles chart For the week of July 8-14.
Three years after the Rolling Stones released “It’s All Over Now”, the group released a new compilation album, Flower. that album was released on 26 June 1967.
Flower was released five months after the studio album, between the buttonsCame to prominence with the hit songs “Back Street Girl,” Yesterday’s Papers” and “Something Happened to Me Yesterday.”
The album did not include some of the Rolling Stones’ early hits, including “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” “Get Off of My Cloud” and “Paint It Black.” Most notable songs Flower It included “Let’s Spend the Night Together,” “Ruby Tuesday,” “Out of Time,” and “Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby, Standing in the Shadows?” Are included.
