American automakers are paying their tribute to the nation, and Ford’s latest offering is the Proud to Honor package.
Ford is making some changes with its 2027 Super Duty lineup, and it includes adding a new America-themed package to the mix. Available on F-250, F-350 and F-450 models in nearly every trim, Ford Custom Garage is introducing this new option for the ongoing America 250 celebrations as “a bold, factory-backed tribute to American grit built to command attention in the workplace and on the open highway.”
So, how exactly are you going to do this? The 2027 Ford Super Duty Proud to Honor package is an option with a few asterisks in most trim levels from XL to Platinum (more on that in a moment).
However, no matter which model/trim you choose, you’ll find red, white and blue on the exterior as well as dark colored exterior assets. You also get a set of black wheels, featuring the distinctive 19.5-inch forged aluminum wheels fitted to dual-rear-wheel F-350s and F-450s (shown above), a first for Ford’s dual-wheel trucks. Finally, a Ford Custom Garage logo graphic changes the exterior look, although the interior remains as they normally are on whatever trim level you choose.
Being a Ford Custom Garage offering, the Proud to Honor package comes back with a 3-year/36,000-mile supplemental warranty to cover its component pieces, which runs concurrently with the new vehicle warranty from the truck’s service date. As long as it is installed by a Ford dealer or ASE-certified technician, this dealer option will not affect the remaining standard new vehicle warranty.
What about those stars?
Ford typically offers the Proud to Honor package in XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum trims. Specifically, however, if you choose the XLT or Lariat trims you’ll need to pair it with either the Tremor Off-Road Package, or the Black Appearance Package. Although it’s available on the high-end Platinum, you won’t be able to spec the Proud to Honor package with the Platinum. plusSo those two options are mutually exclusive. You will be able to get this package only with black exterior color.
This package is also an option only for 2027 model year Super Duty trucks. You won’t be able to order it for dealer inventory in previous model years, even if the truck meets trim and package specifications.
The 2027 Ford Super Duty Proud to Honor package will be available to order through dealers later this summer. Pricing isn’t available yet, but Ford says more details will be coming soon. A portion of the proceeds from package sales will be donated to Blue Star Families, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization founded in 2009 to support military families, spouses and children through the challenges of military life, including deployed service members.
