Nissan’s 2027 lineup mostly consists of SUVs, but the Japanese automaker still produces a few cars, including mainstream affordable sedans and a heritage-rich sports car. Most Nissan cars are relatively new but already get some updates for 2027, highlighted by the transmissions. Read on for all the details.
1) 2027 Nissan Sentra

Following a compelling complete redesign for 2026, Nissan’s compact sedan enters 2027 with just a few changes. In every Sentra, the standard CVT automatic gets retuned for smoother and more linear acceleration. On the SR trim, a Midnight Edition package is introduced, which adds black 18-inch wheels, black window trim, and a black-painted roof.
2) 2027 Nissan Altima

Introduced for 2019 and refreshed for 2023, the current midsize Altima sedan is getting old. Nissan isn’t ready to cancel it yet, but just a small handful of changes arrive for 2027. A simplified lineup comprises fewer trim levels this year, with SV FWD, SR FWD, and SR AWD on offer. Nissan also adds $210 to the MSRP of each variant. Otherwise, the Altima is a carryover.
3) 2027 Nissan Z

After introducing the Z NISMO for 2026 with an automatic transmission only, Nissan gives enthusiasts what they want by offering the sports car with a six-speed manual transmission for 2027. It also gets front brakes derived from the bygone GT-R; they’re nearly 20 pounds lighter than before.
Other Z models get a redesigned front bumper and grille, along with available Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic paint and fresh wheel styles. On the Performance trim, the shock absorber diameter is increased to improve damping and stability. Every 2027 Z gets a reengineered fuel tank, which stabilizes the fuel inside during high-performance driving.
