There was complete devastation during WWE smack down It went off air this evening.
during tonight’s final segment smack downGM Nick Aldis met Gunther in the ring and informed him that he would be teaming with Sami Zayn to face Cody Rhodes and CM Punk the following Saturday at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLV.
However, when Aldis informed him that Punk vs. Rhodes for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2026, Gunther became nervous. Gunther viciously attacks Aldis in the ring, but Rhodes comes out to help smack down As soon as the show goes off air, GM:

Luckily, WWE was kind enough to share what happened when the show went down. Rhodes stopped the attack and immediately challenged Gunther to a one-on-one match, but Gunther refused and walked out backstage:

Zane defeated Gunther and Rhodes (the current champion) at Night of Champions to win the WWE Title. However, his reign only lasted nine days, with CM Punk dethroning Zayn on this week’s episode. Raw.
Fans will finally get the CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes dream match
