Rurock was founded in 2006 in Gloucester, England, and has spent the last two decades creating helmets that combine advanced safety technology with bold, unmistakable design. But, damn, this new helmet sure is a bold statement of statements.

The brand recently unveiled its AT4.0 Carbon Gold Chromeabsolutely wild looking lid he says rurok “Demonstrates an innovative experiment in color and complexity, pushing the boundaries of helmet finishing through intensive, hand-applied gold treatment.”

To quote Goldmember, “I like it very much!

According to Rurock, Gold Chrome is the result of years of development and requires an eight-step nano-painting process. Unlike standard helmet finishes – glossy white or matte black, for example – each Gold Chrome shell is hand-sprayed by in-house technicians to create a mirror-like liquid gold finish.

The AT4.0 CARBON features a chrome over non-metallic surface finish, which the brand says requires “talent, patience and the right painting conditions” to apply. Due to the amount of craftsmanship involved in the production of this precious metal flavored lid, Rurock is only producing 200 examples in total.

And since their production is going to be limited, each helmet will have an individually numbered gold tag hand-stitched into the liner as well as a commemorative holofoil certification sticker on the back of the shell. Imagination.

The AT4.0 CARBON features a lightweight carbon fiber shell with RHEON impact protection, a fidlock magnetic strap, and built-in integration for the Shockwave audio system or Cardo intercom. Overall, it looks like a solid carbon fiber helmet, wrapped in gold leaf and equipped with some well-known components.

As I mentioned, the AT4.0 CARBON Gold Chrome is limited to only 200 units globally, and it’s priced at $625 on company website. So, if you want to stand out, this could be the helmet you never thought you needed.
