Journalist olivia lee Fabrice was at a nightclub in London when she heard a story that surprised her: A tech founder told her a sad tale about a luxury networking event he went to. He told Lee that boat trips and lavish dinners were to take place. But nothing went according to plan. “They claimed that these were really chaotic scenes where taxi drivers working for the organizer were allegedly going on strike because they had not been paid. People walked out of hotel rooms because the organizer had not paid the hotel bills.”
He said that the woman behind this incident was Julie Meyer. An entrepreneur who was the queen of the 00s dotcom scene in London and was later awarded an MBE.
