This event has a way of convincing otherwise rational people that they suddenly need a countertop ice maker or tactical flashlight. The smartest move is to focus on products you’ve already researched, need to replace, or are waiting to go on sale.
Historically, Amazon has had some steep discounts on its devices. This includes the Kindle, Echo speakers, Ring Doorbell, Fire TV streaming devices, and the Eero mesh Wi-Fi system. With regular discounts on gear from Apple, Samsung, LG, Sonos, and other GQ-approved brands, Prime Day is one of the best times of year to buy tech.
As far as menswear goes, we typically see strong deals on the wardrobe items most guys actually wear: denim, sneakers, polos, T-shirts, underwear, and outerwear. Brands like Levi’s, Calvin Klein, Dickies and Lacoste sell off a lot of inventory. You’ll also find meaningful discounts on grooming, especially on electric razors, beard trimmers and other grooming tools from brands like Philips Norelco and Braun.
