Newly released police bodycam footage of Diana Russini’s January 19 traffic stop contradicts her earlier statement about how she avoided getting a ticket for texting and driving.
In February, Rasini appeared “Stugotz & Company” Podcast and claimed he was stopped for texting and driving while breaking the news of the Buffalo Bills firing Sean McDermott. Rasini claimed that he avoided getting a ticket by making an immediate FaceTime call with the police officer and the head coach of his favorite team.
Times Company spokeswoman Danielle Rhodes said it was “Unprofessional conduct” on the part of Rasini. However, police bodycam footage of Russini’s traffic stop refutes the claim that he used a FaceTime call to avoid a ticket.

When the policeman mentioned he was a Minnesota Vikings fan, Russini showed him his text messages with head coach Kevin O’Connell (the texts were blurry in the video). He then issues a warning to Russini, but no ticket:
The officer told him, “Listen, I’m going to discharge you…I understand that your job requires you to be on the phone a lot.” “Just try to wait until we get home, okay? Keep me updated on the Vikings, okay? Let me know if (O’Connell) gets a new quarterback, okay?”

“Police officers are encouraged to use their judgment and, when appropriate, provide warnings to motorists as part of the department’s commitment to fair, impartial and community-oriented policing.”

Rasini resigned athletic (owned by new York Times) on April 14, seven days after photos surfaced of him and New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel hanging out alone at an adults-only resort in Sedona, Arizona.
Pictures taken on March 28 showed the two holding hands, hugging and hanging out by the swimming pool. After Rasini’s resignation, page six On March 11, 2020, more photos were released of her and Vrabel kissing in a New York City bar.
