During his conversation with Palmer, he discussed a variety of topics including his NFL career, his time good morning americaAnd the advice he would give to anyone ready to reinvent themselves. The interview was enlightening overall, and the moment when he was discussing his daughter Isabella proved to be particularly captivating.
Isabella Strahan was diagnosed with cancer in 2023

As reported ABC NewsIn 2023, 19-year-old Isabella was tragically diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor. She underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatments as well as multiple brain surgeries. His incredibly harrowing journey became public and well documented. talking to ABC NewsMichael said:
“As a parent, you’re scared. Oh my God, you’re just scared. We never thought it would be cancer. I’ll be honest with you, just looking at the trajectory at that point in her life — and there’s no history of anything bad happening in our family.”
Michael Strahan gives update on Isabella
Thankfully, Isabella has been cancer free since 2024. Michael gave an update on his daughter’s health on the July 7 episode. Baby, it’s Keke Palmer. After expressing her essential gratitude for her life, she talked about the progress of her daughter’s diagnosis and the lessons she has learned from that difficult time. Michael said:
“Um, you know what? I’ve learned that in life, sometimes you have to let go. You have to pray. You have to rely on prayers. You have to trust the doctors or whoever can handle the situation because it’s one of those things that is completely out of your hands. And that was the worst part, feeling helpless. I can’t fix it. You know, something goes wrong at school, or ‘I need this or that.’ Or Dad, you know, you need tickets to this concert. You can’t get them. Dad will help you.
“You know what I’m saying? You can fix whatever needs to be fixed. In this case, it wasn’t like just fixing it. And you wake up in the morning, when it first happens for the first month or so, I wake up and say, ‘Oh boy, that dream sucked.’ Yes. Then you realize, ‘Oh, it’s not a dream. This is real. And it was devastating. Very devastating and very scary because you don’t know whether the outcome will be positive or not. You know what to expect. You know what you are praying for. And even now, thank God, she’s cancer free, back in school, recovering, doing well, back to her 21-year-old life.”
