Honda Civic Si is discontinued. The Japanese automaker is stopping production of the sporty compact car at the end of the 2026 model year. Honda cited “evolving business conditions” as the reason for the decision, but it is not completely over.
In a press release shared with motor1Honda said in a statement: “An all-new version of the Civic Si will return to the Honda lineup in the coming years.” Lance Wolfer, vice president of auto sales at American Honda, says:
‘The Honda Civic Si has set the standard for affordable performance for four decades, and the all-new next-generation Civic Si will carry on that tradition for enthusiast drivers when it returns to the Honda lineup.’

Honda’s fourth Civic Si production halted
Honda Civic Si is the entry-level performance variant of Honda. It has a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that produces 200 horsepower. It is available only with a six-speed manual transmission, and has a starting price of $32,690, including a $1,195 destination charge.
This is the fourth time that Honda has stopped production of the Civic Si, the first time being in 1988. Honda would halt production from 1996 to 1998 and then, most recently, again in 2021.
Specifics regarding the decision remain unclear. a fresh reddit The Post shared an alleged email sent to Honda’s Alliston, Ontario, factory, saying “evolving business conditions” surrounding Environmental Protection Agency regulations for 2027 and beyond are causing production disruptions.
The memo said it is stopping production of any trim that uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with a six-speed manual transmission, which would include the manual-equipped Acura Integra A-Spec. The automaker confirmed this car and driver Production of Acura sedans has also been halted.
Honda says the Civic Si should remain in dealer inventory by early next year.
