Danner Trail 2650 Campao, $108 (was $180)
Why do we like this deal?
Finding a good deal on Danner footwear can be difficult. Sometimes you’ll find a sale at REI, sometimes at Zappos, sometimes at Huckberry, but right now, the brand’s sale section is filled with major markdowns you won’t find anywhere else. Currently, there’s a big sale on a lightweight, super grippy hiking shoe that hardcore hikers are crazy about.
The Danner Trail 2650 Campao is on sale for just $108, which is a massive 40% discount from its usual price of $180. This is one of the brand’s most popular hiking shoes, and it has been around for years. The perfect rating of over 500 from hikers across the United States (and beyond) is testament to this. There is only one colorway on sale, but all sizes from 7 to 13 are in stock. Danner’s price is by far the best deal for this shoe – it beats the prices at Cabela’s and Sheels.

What shoppers need to know
- Upper: synthetic fabric
- Midsole: eva
- Outsole: vibram megagrip rubber
- weight: 11 ounces
- drop: 8mm
The Campo is one of several Trail 2650 models. How does it stack up? It’s the lightest of the group—lighter than the regular 2650 and 2650 Mesh—and the best choice for warm weather.
This model features a fully synthetic upper with mesh lining and permeable panel that also offers good durability and breathability. Like all 2650s, the Campo is built with an EVA midsole for shock absorption and support, and it runs on a lugged Vibram MegaGrip rubber outsole for exceptional traction. It’s ideal for all types of hiking (buyers praised its grip on surfaces), but it also works well as a travel shoe, work shoe, or casual shoe.
However, it is not waterproof. If you need protection in wet weather, opt for the Trail 2650 GTX, which has a Gore-Tex membrane instead.

One reviewer has owned four pairs of the Trail 2650 over 8 years and likes them for hiking. “The grip is great” on everything from the Uintah Scree to the granite and sandy trails of the Wind River Range in Moab, he said. Others praised the shoe’s “extremely comfortable” ride and said it had “great support.” Finally, many highlighted its versatility: it’s “perfect for long walks, light hikes, or just everyday wear.”
Danner’s sale section is full of amazing deals right now, and at 40% off, the Trail 2650 Campero is one of the best on offer. But with only one colorway in stock at this price, it won’t last long—pick up your pair asap before these capable trail shoes disappear.
