Triton Digital has released data from its Demo+ platform that highlights missed opportunity among podcast listeners and ad-buyers. Its data shows that Black and Asian American listeners are significantly more likely to purchase life insurance, or switch wireless providers. However, investment in shows that attract those audiences continues to decline, despite those categories offering significantly better ROI for advertisers.

This piece is a master-class in promoting a podcast effectively – producing some video b-roll to show off the station; A carefully rehearsed explanation of what a podcast is; And adding a voice actor for added interest. In many countries, television stations are required to produce local news programming, and most newsrooms would welcome the opportunity to feature such a local feature.
