LOS ANGELES (WZTV) —Ethan and Hila Klein, longtime YouTube creators behind h3h3Productions and hosts of the H3 Podcast, are facing a public upheaval in their personal and professional lives after Ethan admitted to having a months-long affair.
On Thursday night on the West Coast, Hila said her husband, Ethan, eventually admitted to an affair lasting more than six months, and the podcast’s crew says it will not continue working with him involved.
In her Instagram post Friday, Oct
In her Instagram post Friday, Oct. 23, Hila said she had sensed something was wrong and tried to raise concerns, but felt dismissed. She wrote that Ethan’s explanations changed — from describing what happened as a kiss to calling it emotional cheating — before, she said, he admitted to an affair. Hila said she did not know its full extent.
Hila described Ethan as her partner in marriage, parenting and business. She said she had loved and trusted him for about 20 years and characterized the situation as a profound betrayal.
Ethan had reshared the post on his own profile.
The H3 Podcast crew said members were shocked and heartbroken to learn of the affair. The crew said it had agreed not to continue working with Ethan involved or profit from his involvement. It said it did not yet know what that would mean for the show’s future and expressed support for Hila.
AB Ayad, an associate producer on the show,
AB Ayad, an associate producer on the show, also posted about the uncertainty on X. He said he and his wife, Lena, considered the podcast their dream job after moving to work on it. Ayad said not knowing what comes next is especially frightening with Lena pregnant and a baby on the way. In a follow-up post, he said Hila was the victim in the situation and that he supported her, while not wanting to speak on her behalf.
Ethan later posted two statements on the verified h3h3Productions Instagram account. He asked people to respect his family’s privacy and not contact them for comments. In a subsequent Instagram story, he said he was working with Hila to remove his ownership and financial stakes in podcasts, Teddy Fresh, Teddy Glow and any joint venture from which he could profit.

He said support should go directly to Hila and the crew, and praised the crew’s talent.
