WOOX is releasing EleganteTheir first purpose-built bolt-action stock line, and the construction is not what you would assume at first glance. It is not a chassis stuffed inside a wooden shell. It features a hand-picked piece of American Claro Walnut on the outside and a precision-machined aluminum mini-chassis on the inside. A chassis-level bed in a traditional wooden stock form factor. This pair is truly unusual at any price point in the bolt-action aftermarket.

Special attention is paid to the selection of walnuts Vooks. Each blank is hand-selected for grain and character, then hand-oiled by artisans using traditional penetrating finishes rather than surface coats. This maintains the natural feel and movement of the grain rather than sealing the wood under a polymer. Because it is a natural material, no two stocks have the same pattern. Not a marketing line. That’s how wood works, and it’s a worthwhile thing to do when the stock you’re ordering is the only one that looks exactly like it.

There are two configurations available at launch. The Sporter and Hybrid differ in geometry to suit different shooting applications, and both come in standard or high-grade American walnut. Higher-grade selection spaces tend to have more distinctive shapes.
elegant sporter
- Standard American Walnut: $569.00
- High Grade American Walnut: $899.00
- Weight: 35 ounces
elegant hybrid
- Standard American Walnut: $549.00
- High Grade American Walnut: $879.00
- Weight: 30 ounces
Both configurations:
- Interior: Precision-machined aerospace-grade aluminum mini-chassis
- Exterior: Single-piece hand-selected American Claro walnut, hand-oiled penetrating finish
- Compatible: Remington 700 SA/LA, Ruger 10/22, Ruger American Gen2
Real walnut plus aluminum chassis and still nothing less than 35 ounces. that weight balance is something Vooks Obviously noticed, because a heavier stock changes the way a rifle handles and not in a good way. More compatibility options are expected as the line evolves. With the Remington 700, Ruger 10/22, and Ruger American Gen2 covered at launch, that immediately gets a lot of rifles in the door.
