These denim carpenter shorts are similar in size, fit, and drape to the same pair I got last year, with just a few more bells and whistles (for example, that second knee and also a hammer loop). They’re baggy – but not veering into ’90s cosplay territory – and made from 100% cotton canvas that’s both soft and sturdy. And their prices are almost cheaper than anything else you can find vintage gather.
I really didn’t need Use them for anything, but having another pair of shorts you can beat the living shit out of for the duration of the rising heat seemed like a good plan, and man, do I love it when a plan comes together. They’re the perfect length to wear with some loafers, sneakers, mules, my weird little slippers, or any other weight-bearing shoe I have at the moment. The shorts are a little wide, which means I can adjust my shirt to any shape I want. I’ve been wearing some loose button-ups, tanks, and tees in various sizes.
While I certainly don’t have the ability to solve All The problem with your shorts is the same hammer-looped pair, I also haven’t been all that impressed with a pair of shorts—non-athletic category—priced under $50 in many years. So, grab them while it’s hot, because with prices like this, they’ll be gone before the heat wave hits.
