A former TNA World Champion will reportedly be joining WWE in the near future.
WWE has already brought back Baron Corbin, who made a surprise return smack down last Friday. Also revealed in this week’s edition Raw That Big Cass (Big Bill in AEW) will return on the August 3 show.
Now, the two-time TNA World Champion is also said to be linked to WWE.
In an update, WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select (h/t wrestlinginc.com) The report states that company sources are hopeful that Mike Santana will come to WWE before the end of the summer. It was also noted that Santana built strong relationships during her presence in NXT through the WWE–TNA partnership.
WrestleVotes Radio previously reported that WWE was interested in Santana and wanted him to join the roster before the conclusion of the summer.
WWE officials first got a look at Santana when he helped Team TNA (with Moose, Leon Slater and Frankie Kazarian) defeat Team NXT (Miles Bourne, Jevon Evans, Ricky Saints and Trick Williams) at the NXT vs. TNA Showdown event on October 7.
Mike Santana lost his final TNA match to Nick Nemeth

In his final TNA match, Santana lost the World Championship to Nick Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler in WWE) at the June 28 Slammiversary pay-per-view. This ended his second world title reign in 164 days, with Németh claiming the championship for the second time.
