Every once in a while, a wild opportunity presents itself to save (or at least attempt to save) something special on Copart – every bored automotive sleuth’s favorite source of “what happened here?” Material for weekday speculation. And today we have a particularly strange one: 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen The most bizarre case of “vandalism” I have ever seen.
This G63 has been stripped down to the bones and then some. Apparently, someone looked at this body-on-frame 4×4 and decided they only needed one part of each, because they left everything else in, including the twin-turbocharged V8, front axle, and lots of beautiful tan interior.
As of publishing time, the auction had still not reached the reserve level, but bidding had crossed the $22,000 mark. Looking at eBay prices, that’s about the same as you’d pay for a low-miles V8, so it’s no surprise the seller is hoping it will go up a bit more before the gavel falls. And this is going to happen soon. Before the day is out we’ll know how much someone is willing to spend to get half of the G63.

Considering how aggressively this car was cut up, it’s surprising how much of it remains intact. The roof has been destroyed, but the dash, steering wheel, and seats survive, as does almost everything forward of the firewall. Need a side mirror? Want two?
Social media has already caught onAnd as others have already noted in the comments, the remaining shell will form a detailed SIM cockpit. Are we still paying over $20,000 on projects for the Villages these days? Because if so, please send us the link when it is completed.
