The spools are forged and machined from aluminum with stainless steel main and pinion gears. The drag system is Okuma’s proprietary Dual Force Drag System, designed to deliver smooth, consistent drag pressure during extended offshore battles.
As part of the Makaira SEa family, these Makaira Yellowfin reels also feature helical-cut gearing for greater gear engagement and smooth operation.
