With the 2026 FIFA World Cup just around the corner, many people are still trying to take advantage of the football (soccer) craze before this summer is over. And if you’ve been reading various reports, tickets for the matches are not on the cheap side of the spectrum. That being said, how cool is it that Verizon and Marriott Bonvoy are giving away free tickets. Especially considering that the tickets are for the World Cup final.
That’s right, both Verizon and the Marriott Bonvoy are running promotions that allow people to get free tickets to the final World Cup match in New York (technically New Jersey) on Sunday, July 19. So how can you be one of those people?
Verizon Shine loyalty program is giving away FIFA tickets
The telecom company recently launched its Verizon Shine loyalty program, giving customers ample opportunities to win multiple prizes including tickets to the FIFA World Cup final match. To get tickets to the highly anticipated game, all you have to do is go to My Verizon App and enroll in the Verizon Shine Sweepstakes.
Now, it is important that if you are interested in FIFA tickets, you enroll in the Verizon Shine program as soon as possible, as Verizon is releasing the tickets on July 8 at 1 pm ET. Additionally, Verizon has determined that tickets are only available to mobile and home customers within a 150-mile radius of MetLife Stadium (temporarily rebranded as New York New Jersey Stadium) in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Marriott Bonvoy and Men in Blazers team up for Match Day Live

Marriott Bonvoy has partnered with The Men in Blazers Media Network (the largest soccer-dedicated media network in North America) to bring live matchday events to the public. The immersive Match Day Live experience has been taking place throughout the World Cup tournament and is designed to “capture the essence of match day in each host city” while “blending the feeling of a tailgate with the energy of a live broadcast.”
As part of the events, there is an interactive Marriott Bonvoy penalty kick-style challenge. Marriott Bonvoy members selected to score a goal can win tickets to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final.
