Scott Hamilton hails his ‘Walk This Way’ performance as ‘the greatest night of skating ever’

“We had a lot of fun. Sara Kawahara, the choreographer, and I had a lot of fun doing these walks together. We had a hunchback. We did a moonwalk. We had a picture taker. We did a monkey walk. We had Mick Jagger. We had all these different walks, and it was really fun because I think once the audience caught on to the fact that every ‘Walk This Way’ by Steven Tyler was like that by me Was going to take a walk…they nailed it. It’s going to be fun to watch when it happens again.”
After all, the video’s caption explains why the performance meant so much to the figure skating legend. “There are nights you never forget, and this was one of them. Walk This Way was the most fun I’ve ever had on the ice, and honestly, it may have been the greatest night of skating in my career. Sometimes the best performances come when you let go, trust the moment, and just enjoy the ride.”
