How the West Was Won: A 1962 Epic With an All-Star Cast and Landmark Status

Few Westerners can match its sheer scale how the West Was Won.

Released in 1962, the sweeping frontier epic brought together some of Hollywood’s biggest names for a sprawling story about America’s westward expansion. More than six decades later, it remains one of the defining films of the genre, earning a place in recent Rotten Tomatoes’ list of the greatest Western films of all time.

A western full of Hollywood legends
