This pull up bar arrived quickly, and I was able to install it within 5 minutes. This bar appears to be very strong and comfortable, with a soft grip. While installing this, it did move the trim on my door frame, but not a big deal, will fill with a little caulking. I needed this to just to hang from to stretch out my back, getting up there in age. One thing I really like about this bar is that I can close the door and leave it installed, no need to remove it. This bar was the cheaper option of the ones available here on Amazon, glad I went with this one. Others look the same.
I was worried the bar was thick but actually it’s not! Can grip well with small hands
I got this mainly for my teenage son to use at home, as he wanted something simple for exercising without taking over the whole house.
It fits neatly into the doorway and doesn’t need loads of space, which is ideal in a family home. Once properly tightened it feels sturdy enough, and the foam grips are comfortable to hold even after a while.
The setup took a bit of fiddling at first because it needs tightening carefully or it can move slightly, but after that it stayed in place fine. It also hasn’t damaged the door frame so far, which I was worried about.
For the price, I think it’s decent value and quite versatile for basic home workouts, especially if you haven’t got room for bigger gym equipment.
