If you had glanced at my phone during Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring 2027 show in Milan today, you would have found me Googling “flight to Sicily as soon as possible.” The venue was dimly lit, projectors were displaying panoramic views of pristine beaches and bays, and clothing was made to be stuffed into carry-ons at a moment’s notice.
All the usual suspects of Euro leisure style, including D&G’s excellent performers, were on display. There were broderie anglaise shirts, as well as tiny micro shorts that would require a serious leg-and-glute routine to pull off properly. There were charming linen suits for a sunset dinner and a heavy dose of ’70s prints that would make it into even your most discerning friend’s holiday wardrobe. But then, there was something else, too: pair after pair of party jeans.

We mean that; we understand Real Party jeans. It’s not just selvage denim that’s presented well enough to boogie. Down the runway were white dungarees with cascading crystals, then a blue straight-leg pair covered in blinged-out brooches. The swirling Y2K turquoise pattern was covered with a gray acid wash, which also came with prickles of paint. That distinctive shade of Zara Larsson-style noughties-ism went into ripped indigo. Others were decorated with crystal coral and orange sunburst.
On the runway, they were styled the same way a footballer might on a trip to the beach: with gunned-out tank tops and postcard-printed tees; With rosary-style necklaces and beaded chains; With beach bag and perma-tan sunglasses. Below, the models wore leather sandals and embellished slippers that looked comfortable enough to wear in the club line — not that you’ll need that in this D&G fantasy, because the bouncer is your guy.
