Donald Trump urged Russia to “make a deal” with Ukraine at a meeting of G7 leaders on Tuesday, seeking to put the conflict back on the top of the agenda.
European leaders are hoping to hold Trump’s attention long enough to talk to him about Ukraine, as the US president is more focused on the US-Israeli war against Iran.
